• Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a valid South African ID document
• Have a verifiable source of income
• Hold an active South African bank account
• Provide accurate and up-to-date contact details

2. Loan Type–Specific Requirements

Depending on the type of loan you apply for, additional requirements may apply:

• Car Loan: Must provide proof of vehicle purchase or quotation from a recognized dealership.
• Personal Loan: Must provide 3 months’ recent payslips or proof of regular income.
• Business Loan: Must submit business registration documents, tax clearance certificate, and bank statements.
• Home Loan: Must provide proof of property ownership or offer-to-purchase documentation.

3. Required Documents

Please prepare and upload clear copies of the following documents during your loan application:

• South African ID (Smart ID or Green Book)
• Proof of residence (not older than 3 months)
• Latest 3 months’ bank statements
• Proof of income or employment

4. Credit Assessment

All loan applications undergo a creditworthiness and affordability assessment in accordance with the National Credit Act (NCA). Approval depends on your credit record and ability to repay the loan.

5. Disqualification Reasons

Your loan application may be declined if:

• You have an adverse credit history
• You fail affordability assessment checks
• You provide false or incomplete information
• You already have unpaid loans with E-Finance Ltd
